Operational high reliability

￭ Based on the HPS ( Hitless Protection System ) non-disruptive protection system, the key components of the S8500 , such as the system main control unit, power supply system, and fan system, all adopt redundant design. All system modules can be hot-swapped to support seamless switching in case of failure. No manual intervention is required.

￭ S8500 supports STP/RSTP/MSTP protocol, VRRP protocol, and also supports ring network protection, dual uplink active/standby link protection, LACP link aggregation and other simple and efficient redundancy protection mechanisms.

￭ Support ISSU ( In-ServiceSoftware Upgrade ) business uninterrupted system upgrade, and GR ( GracefulRestart ) graceful restart for OSPF/BGP and other routing protocols to ensure uninterrupted forwarding of user data during system upgrades and master control switching.

￭ The ultra-high-precision BFD two-way link detection mechanism realizes millisecond fault detection and business recovery through linkage with the second and third layer protocols, which greatly improves the reliability of the network system.

￭ Complete Ethernet OAM mechanism, supporting 802.3ah , 802.1ag and ITU-Y.1731 , real-time monitoring of the network operation status, to achieve rapid detection and location of faults.
